M2SYS Hosts Monthly #Biometricchat with Bio-key International

August 20, 2012 -

On Thursday August 23rd, the monthly M2SYS #biometricchat will focus on biometrics for single sign-on (SSO) and will feature an expert guest from Bio-key International.

According to the M2SYS blog, this month’s #biometricchat will look at biometrics as an alternative to passwords and PINS, the economic implications of data breaches, the effectiveness of national data breach awareness campaigns, industries affected the most by weak SSO systems, non-traditional industries that can benefit from SSO, and more.

“As more companies look at modern technology solutions to help increase database security and protect sensitive information from being hacked and compromised, many discover that using biometrics helps increase security and lower risk,” states the M2SYS blog post about the event. “The professionals at Bio-key will share some of their thoughts on using biometrics for SSO and what distinct advantages it offers over more traditional sign-on methods.”

To participate in the event, all you need is a Twitter account and to follow the hashtag “#biometricchat” starting at 11am EDT Thursday.
