4G Identity Solutions launches biometric visa issuance system

4G Identity Solutions has announced the launch of its Biometric Enabled Electronic-Visa Issuance System (BEVIS) and rollout of the system for one of its main customers in various countries’ missions across the world.

According to the company, BEVIS is a multi-modal biometric enrollment and verification system that can be used by countries to enroll the demographics and biometrics of visitors while applying for visas at visa service centers, border checkpoints or consulates and to verify identity while entering borders.

“We are happy to announce the launch of Biometric Enabled e-Visa Issuance System (BEVIS) and are delighted to have successfully rolled out BEVIS,” Sreeni Tripuraneni, Chairman and CEO of 4G Identity Solutions said. “We have consistently demonstrated our success in implementing cutting-edge biometric technologies for large scale ID programmes and are excited to be in Immigration and Border control space.”

4G said it has deployed numerous Civil ID programs in the past, including the Aadhaar-UID project in India.

Reported previously, 4G recently deployed biometric technology for India’s Immigration, Visa and Foreigners Registration & Tracking system.
