AOptix appoints Christina Richards VP of marketing

AOptix has announced the appointment of Christina Richards as its new Vice President of Marketing.

In this role, Richards will be responsible for the company’s strategic marketing vision and execution, including new product introductions, corporate branding, digital marketing, analyst and media relations as well as strategic channel marketing partnerships across the company’s Communications and Identity Solutions businesses.

“Christina is an outstanding addition to the management team and brings deep experience in marketing complex technologies to network operators and enterprises globally,” Dean Senner, Chairman and CEO of AOptix said. “Christina is joining AOptix at a time of explosive growth, and will be instrumental in communicating the value of our products and solutions to customers worldwide.”

Prior to joining, Richards was the President and CEO of marketing consulting firm Richards Morgan Enterprises, serving customers in the telecommunications hardware and services industries. Previously, Richards spent four years at SkyFiber where she served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Prior to SkyFiber, Richards spent 13 years at Nortel Networks, a multinational telecommunications manufacturer where she held a variety of management and executive positions in the Wireless division.

“AOptix is entering an exciting and critical phase in the company’s  history, having just completed successful field trials of its Intellimax family of wireless communications products with some of the world’s largest mobile operators,” Richards said. “On the biometrics side of the business, AOptix Identity Solutions are deployed at some of the world’s busiest airports, and have significant traction with law enforcement, national security and border security agencies worldwide. Reported previously, in 2013, AOptix announced the appointment of François Lê as the company’s new VP of Global Sales, Communications.
