Authentify, Inc. announced it has partnered with LifeMed ID, Inc. to provide “Better Together”, a combined mobile patient authentication solution with automated registration workflow for patient identity validation, accurate medical record matching, insurance verification and payment processing in healthcare.
The “Better Together” solution adheres to NIST Electronic Authentication Guidelines for Level of Assurance three.
Patients can download the combined Authentify and LifeMed ID mobile application and use it as their identity token at registration to verify their identity at any point of the service.
Once a heathcare worker enrolls a patient, the patient will then be able to download Authentify’s voice recognition application to their personal mobile device.
The LifeMed ID solution immediately generates a unique QR code when a patient presents their mobile device, completing the automated registration process within seconds.
Using point of service terminals, the LifeMed ID solution does not require any additional form of ID to automate the provider’s registration workflow process.
By providing a “Bring Your Own Device” value proposition, the combined solution boosts providers’ registration efficiency by eliminating the generating of duplicate records, preventing fraud and billing errors, increasing the privacy of patient information and not having to update the provider’s PMS/EMR/ADT systems.
LifeMed ID offers a “no cost to qualifying providers” transaction model that eliminates installation and hardware fees while increasing revenue.
