Integrated Biometrics manufacturing facility achieves ISO 9001 certification

Integrated Biometrics production facility in Seoul, South Korea has achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 certification.

The facility produces Integrated Biometrics’ line of Sherlock, Watson Mini, and Columbo one- and two-finger mobile fingerprint scanners.

Additionally, the facility manufactures the company’s soon-to-be-released ten-print roll scanner, which it will preview at Connect:ID 2016, held March 14-16 in Washington, D.C.

“The ISO certification process was intense yet rewarding, as it offered us an opportunity to enhance our manufacturing capabilities through a comprehensive review of our internal practices,” said Daniel Jang, president of Integrated Biometrics Korea.

The facility produces several certified FBI Appendix F, FAP 30, FAP 45, and FAP 60 as well as non-certified fingerprint scanners, all of which use Integrated Biometrics’ patented light emitting sensor (LES) film.

The paper-thin (less than 1 mm thick) lightweight film allows the sensors to be highly energy efficient, lightweight, and reliable to meet the needs of global security integrators and OEM manufacturers.

In addition to its facility’s ISO 9001 certification, Integrated Biometrics has previously achieved several other national and international certifications for its products including RoHS, IP65, CE, FCC, FBI Appendix F FAP series, PIV/FIPS 201 and IEC 6100-4-2.

Previously reported, Integrated Biometrics stated that global events surrounding immigration, border security, and terrorism are driving increasing interest in advanced mobile fingerprint scanner technology.
