Suprema will showcase mobile fingerprint authentication algorithm BioSign 2.0 at Mobile World Congress 2017.
According to a company statement, the BioSign 2.0 algorithm employs Suprema’s latest artificial intelligence technology to learn the user’s habits and conditions continuously, delivering matching speed up to twice as fast as the top competitor’s solution while outpacing competitors in terms of accuracy (FRR) and level of security (FAR). BioSign 2.0 performs matching speed of 50ms with high-end APs and 100ms with low-end APs while maintaining security level under 0.0005%.
On the integration side, BioSign 2.0 allows extra flexibility in design by providing an extensive range of sensor options in terms of form-factors and types, including capacitive, optical and under-glass.

Last year, Suprema launched BioSign 1.0 at MWC 2016, drawing attention from a number of smartphone manufacturers and is set to be embedded on production models this year. At MWC 2017, Suprema aims to promote BioSign 2.0 as a game-changer in accelerating widespread of fingerprint authentication on mid-range smartphones.
