In an effort to drive enhanced security and streamlined operations, Fujitsu is rolling out a large-scale deployment of its PalmSecure palm vein authentication technology within the company. Palm vein authentication will replace the password-based authentication used by approximately 80,000 employees in Japan to access their virtual desktops. Smartcard-based authentication installed at the entrances to workplaces at two offices in Japan will also make the switch over to palm vein authentication. BIO-key wins $4 million enterprise software contract
