BioEnable Launches Windows-based POS with STQC certified fingerprint scanner
BioEnable Technologies has announced the launch of its Windows-based multi-purpose point of sale (POS) terminal, featuring a built-in Standards and Testing Quality Certification (SQTC) certified fingerprint scanner, thermal printer, camera and multiple options for network connections.
This new device supports Windows XP, and acts as an all-in-one solution for a number of diverse purposes, including that for micro-ATM, and Unique Identity Authority of India Aadhaar based know your client (KYC) applications the company says. This new device comes with many optional add-ons, including a camera, thermal printer and a smart card reader.
“This is [perfectly suited] for the Aadhaar Enabled Service Deliveries,” Pradeep Bhatia, managing director of BioEnable said. “These devices are rigorously tested and are rugged enough to be used in the Indian environment.”
As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, the company’s single-finger scanner, the eNBioScan-C1, was recently awarded STQC certification for the UIDAI’s Aadhaar project.
