M2SYS announces March’s #biometricchat on biometic ID for border control, ePassports and voter registration

Categories Biometrics News  |  Uncategorized

M2SYS has announced that its next #biometricchat will take place two weeks from today on March 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. EST., and will focus on the use of biometric identification for border control, ePassports and voter registration.

The special guest for the monthly chat is Cyrille Bataller from Accenture. Bataller is the European Director of Accenture Technology Labs, the dedicated technology Research and Development organization within Accenture.

Bataller leads Accenture’s biometrics R&D activities, and supports automated border clearance solutions at London’s airports, and large scale biometric identity management solutions such as US-VISIT and the European Commission’s Biometric Matching System.

This chat comes as there has been a lot of international attention on biometric voter registration from the recent Kenyan election.

As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, M2SYS held its February #biometricchat on biometric ID in developing countries.

For those new to the format, M2SYS has posted instructions for participating in this month’s #biometricchat.

Questions to Bataller can be emailed to marketing@m2sys.com, and M2SYS will try to include them in the chat. The full list of questions will be posted on the M2SYS blog soon.

To participate in the Twitter chat, follow the #biometricchat hashtag on March 28 at 11 a.m. EST.
