SRI International grabs ASIS award for drive-up iris identification system

 

SRI International’s Iris on the Move drive-up identification system was selected as a 2013 ASIS Accolades – Security’s Best winner.

The Iris on the Move (IOM) PassThru System is a multimodal biometric product for vehicle access points. The system is based on face and iris images and can process up to 10 drivers per minute. Drivers pull up to the terminal, a moving camera finds the driver’s face and

“SRI Sarnoff strives to deliver a suite of biometric products that meet demanding customer needs for security and efficiency,” Mark Clifton, vice president, Products and Services Division at SRI International said. “It is rewarding to have our work recognized by ASIS International.”

According to the company, the IOM PassThru system will be on display at the company’s booth (#535) at ASIS 2013, in Chicago this week.

A recent market research report published by MarketsandMarkets suggests the total market for the Electronic Access Control System is expected to reach $16.3 billion by 2017, at a CAGR of 7%.

Reported previously, SRI International launched the IOM PassThru system earlier this year, in April.
