Viscount Systems has just signed a distributor agreement with Tri-ED Distribution in regards to one of Viscount’s access control systems.

Under the agreement, Tri-ED will begin selling and stocking Viscount’s Liberty access control system at its North American branches.

“We are very excited to sign this agreement with Tri-Ed,” Stephen Pineau, President of Viscount said. “We have been selling our legacy systems and MESH touch screens for many years through Tri-Ed on a project basis, but have now become a stocking partner with our Liberty access control solution. Liberty offers the same security and price advantages of our Freedom access control technology but is packaged and designed for smaller installations of up to twelve doors.”

Reported previously, Viscount was recently awarded FIPS 201 certification for its Freedom VeriCert software, which is used to monitor PIV and federal employee ID cards.

Viscount also recently announced the results for its second quarter 2013, and has shown both an increase in revenue as well as a net loss decline. According to the company, revenues for the second quarter of 2013 were $1,041,088, an increase of 25.7% as compared to the first quarter of 2013 and a 15.5% increase as compared to the second quarter of 2012.
