The Biometrics Institute has announced an official partnership with Elsevier — a scientific, technical and medical information products and services provider – to deliver the Biometrics 2014 Conference & Exhibition, set to take place October 21-23, 2014.

Elsevier has been running the Biometrics Conference & Exhibition in London since 2001.

“The Biometrics Institute is always looking at ways to work with our currently 146 members to help shape the future of the biometrics industry. Partnering with Elsevier and the well-recognised Biometrics show will allow the Institute to promote the responsible use of biometrics on an even larger stage, giving members more visibility, increased access to information and people,” Isabelle Moeller, Chief Executive of the Biometrics Institute said. “We are also making the event more accessible and affordable to our members. Our aim with this event is to bring together not only the government agencies but also the vertical markets of aviation, healthcare, retail, and banking to this event to assist us with our mission of promoting the responsible use of biometrics.”

Nigel Clear, Commercial Director Conferences, Innovation & Publishing Development, STM Journals at Elsevier said, “This union brings together two of the most experienced information providers for the biometrics industry. Joining efforts with the Biometrics Institute will deliver new synergies, open new avenues to access networks and offer high-level content and speakers for the event whilst also bringing new life and vigour to the exhibition.”

Reported previously, the Biometrics Institute also recently announced its newly-elected Board, which includes representation from Immigration New Zealand, the FBI and UK Ministry of Justice.
