Zwipe appoints Robert Fee as new Director of Sales for North America
Zwipe has announced the appointment of Robert Fee, Director of Sales, to bring the Zwipe biometric card to OEMs, integrators and end-users in the North American market.
“The Zwipe biometric card already has a pent-up demand among users,” Fee said. “Eliminating the problems of solely deploying PINs and standard cards, the contactless Zwipe biometric card quickly reads the user’s fingerprint in less than a second. Only then will the card system activate the lock. This is much more secure than simply using a standard smartcard, which verifies only something users carry, the smart card itself. I am looking forward to showing the industry a solution that does not require an existing biometrics infrastructure.”
Fee has more than 20 years of sales and marketing leadership with technology manufacturers. Prior to Zwipe, Fee was general manager, Americas with LEGIC Identsystems AG.
“We are very pleased to have Bob Fee join Zwipe in this capacity,” Kim Humborstad, CEO of Zwipe said. “He has a history of bringing new technological solutions to the market in a way that is helpful to OEMs and their marketing and sales channels. We encourage people that need the help of biometrics without having to install a biometrics reader infrastructure to contact Bob at once.”
As Zwipe Director of Sales, North America, Fee holds the Smart Card Industry Professional/Government certification from the Smart Card Alliance.
As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Zwipe has deployed biometric cards for managing access to doors and printers at the Simonsen VogtWiig law firm in Norway. The company also recently announced that Farpointe Data was providing its access control system manufacturer partners with Zwipe biometric cards.
The Zwipe biometric card collects fingerprint data, which is captured by the on-card fingerprint scanner, and is encrypted and stored inside the card.
