Next Biometrics partners with Duodigit to provide fingerprint sensor solutions in Brazil

Next Biometrics has partnered with Brazilian biometric solution provider Duodigit to provide biometric solutions in the Brazilian market.

The patented Active Thermal Principle is at the core of Next Biometrics’ biometric solutions and the company is able to provide affordable and high quality area fingerprint sensors for smartphones, tablets, PC’s, doors, time registration systems, payment terminals, flashdrives, usb-tokens, and key fobs.

The partnership will enable Next Biometrics to distribute the fingerprint sensor to the Brazilian market. Duodigit provides a consolidated network of biometrics software, hardware and consulting services for a range of different applications, including control industrial and corporate access, time and attendance, and banking applications.

“We are very pleased to be able to welcome Duodigit as our distributor in the fast moving Brazilian market,” said Next Biometrics CEO Tore Etholm-Idsøe. “Duodigit is a highly respected supplier of high quality biometric solutions. Based on already signed agreements and general market feedback Next now expects to sign most leading sensor distributors in all major world markets.”

“The fingerprint sensor market needs a low cost, no compromise area sensor,” said Luiz Henrique Correa Bernardes, technical director of Duodigit. “We believe with NEXT, high quality, low cost, slim format sensors we will be able to have significant opportunities for Duodigit and our Brazilian customers.”

The announcement comes on the heels of Next Biometrics’ initial order for 10,000 fingerprint sensors from Fulcrum Biometrics.
