Cross Match Technologies and DigitalPersona Make First Appearance as “Crossmatch”
According to its announcement, Crossmatch launched the new company name and logo on Tuesday, as well as a website that reflects its new brand identity for the first time.
“The integration process moved quickly because the two companies were highly complementary in terms of product portfolios, service offerings, market coverage and strategic focus,” Crossmatch CEO Rich Agostinelli said in a statement. “Both brands had substantial equity with customers and partners around the world.”
Agostinelli said the combined company is positioned well to provide complete identity management solutions that include biometric enrollment and authentication hardware and software, and workflow management, as well as professional services and support.
Crossmatch’s biometrics technologies are specifically designed and customized to meet the needs of a variety of markets including government, defense, law enforcement, banking, retail and corporate enterprise.
Over the past few months, the company unveiled ten-print technology, biometric middleware and a user interface used in automated passport control kiosks and eGates, and its technology has been introduced at Vancouver Airport BorderXpress kiosks.
Its fingerprint biometrics technology has also been procured by the Panama City Police Department to update its systems which had previously relied on ink for recording and analyzing fingerprints.
“Based on early customer and partner feedback, we feel we’ve accomplished our goal of combining the products and service expertise of both companies,” Agostinelli said. “We were careful to preserve that brand equity and create a new brand that is greater than the sum of the parts.”
