Human Recognition Systems’ airport ID pass application vetting and issuance solution MTrust will be installed at London Gatwick Airport’s ID centers to boost security and improve service, while reducing pass rejections and waiting times, according to a report by the Human Recognition Systems blog.

London Gatwick Airports chose the cloud-hosted MTrust to streamline its airport ID pass management with absolute certainty of identity.

Developed in close partnership with London Gatwick, the new system is now live with 2,500 authorized signatories, providing them with the tools they need to submit and track pass applications.

MTrust automatically checks all applications before they are submitted, cutting the number of rejections by up to 80%. It also reduces calls to the airport by giving everyone online visibility of its application progress

As it moves towards reaching 45 million annual passengers and a second runway, London Gatwick will soon find itself in a position where a large number of people will require an airport pass.

HRS’s MTrust offers multiple benefits for London Gatwick, as well as its partners and on-airport customers.

“The new system will enable us to issue airport id passes faster, whilst taking the frustrations away from our on-airport customers and at the same time improving security and reducing insider threat,” said Michael Ibbitson, CIO at Gatwick. “By allowing us to deliver a better service, MTrust has reaffirmed our commitment to our key aims of building strong and constructive relationships with our stakeholders, increasing value and efficiency and developing the best people, processes and technology.”
