Sticky Password adds biometric authentication
The newest version of Sticky Password, a flexible password manager which was released today, now includes fingerprint authentication.
Sticky Password’s added biometric authentication allows users to easily unlock their password databases on Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.
Identity verification of a Sticky Password account holder can be made with just one swipe of a finger. The password manager supports fingerprint authentication on smartphones and tablets that are equipped with fingerprint scanners. This includes Touch ID on iPhones and iPads, and the Samsung Galaxy, along with other Android devices.
“We know that hackers are constantly trying to gain access to users’ personal accounts and steal valuable information, and though technology is being enhanced to protect personal data, it’s imperative that we help our users stay protected and ahead of the hackers and the next data breach,” said Petr Bilek, CEO of Sticky Password. “With the newest version of Sticky Password, we’ve worked to ensure your data is secured with the latest technology available leveraging biometric authentication already supported on many devices.”
The password manager also leverages a military-grade AES-256 encryption algorithm and, as a result, the system can generate extra-strong new passwords whenever they are required and can even store credit card numbers for express checkout. Users of the premium version of the password manager also can decide either to have their data synchronized via local Wi-Fi or to activate instant synchronization across all devices using Sticky Password’s secure cloud servers.
The firm also recently changed its licensing model. Sticky Password now offers a new lifetime license, allowing new customers to purchase one license and utilize it for life with free upgrades on all devices. As part of the changes to the licensing model, the free version of Sticky Password now supports an unlimited number of accounts and biometric authentication on all supported platforms.
Customers who purchased a previous version of Sticky Password will now also receive a free upgrade for a lifetime license. Recipients of this special offer will have access to all existing and future functionality of Sticky Password’s platform by way of online installation. As an additional bonus, these existing customers will receive a gift of three one-year licenses of the premium version of Sticky Password, that they can share with family and friends.
