Tygart releases latest version of cloud-based facial recognition system
Tygart Technology announced it has released MXSERVER v2.7, a cloud-based face recognition system that processes large amounts of video and photo collections to quickly transform files extracted from captured devices, SIM cards and video surveillance systems into searchable resources.
Tygart’s latest version of MXSERVER offers significant improvements to the solution’s functionality, user interface and security.
As a result, investigators and analysts now have the capability to analyze video; manage and distribute large media collections via the Internet as they monitor video surveillance to identify “persons of interest.”
The system’s facial recognition technology automatically identifies, extracts and matches faces from large media collections, including those stored in disparate or disconnected systems.
Law enforcement officials can use MXSERVER to monitor large-scale events, process live surveillance feeds to identify threats and conduct investigative analysis following a terrorist attack or criminal act.
“Government agencies tasked with the mission of public safety and national defense are confronted with shrinking budgets that limit the resources available for manual forensic video and photo analysis,” said John F. Waugaman, president of Tygart Technology. “This timesaving video analytics technology enables agencies to search thousands of hours of video footage and millions of photographs housed in big data collections in just minutes.”
The new version provides many functional enhancements which simplify and expedite video/photo analysis and biometric enrollment, including faster face search and enhanced scalability as a result of its new distributed “in memory” search capability, expanded support of additional file types and partially corrupt content, improved face export, support for multiple watchlists, batch face search, and increased security using “view only” user privilege classification and added quality control option.
Previously reported, The Fusion Intelligence Center in Charleston, West Virginia has implemented Tygart Technology’s facial recognition software.
