1DataWorld, Macate Group launch smartphones with biometric authentication
Available starting in June, the first model of Cyberphones to be offered will be 1DW LF1, a premium Android device integrated with a fingerprint reader and dual SIM cards.
The Cyberphone is designed to protect personal data stored on mobile devices, ensuring that no third party will ever be able to compromise the user’s sensitive data during a mobile-based financial transaction.
“The modern consumer and business executive relies on their mobile device to effectuate financial transactions on the go,” said Isaac Daniel, CEO of Macate Group Corp. “Now with the introduction of our Cyberphone devices, with military-grade security never before available to the general population, our mobile consumers can rest assured that their financial data and transactions will always be safe.”
The Cyberphone security system includes an embedded, FBI-compliant biometric reader and scanner, with high-resolution image quality and low power consumption.
The smartphone’s system differs from many other mobile device fingerprint systems in that it only responds to human touch and it cannot be spoofed by images of a fingerprint, ensuring that only the registered card holder will be able to access the smartphone.
Additionally, no account information or biometric fingerprint data are stored on the Cyberphone itself, which protects owners in the event that their smartphone gets lost or stolen.
Macate Group Corporation will design Cyberphones in the United States, with parts manufactured in ITAR approved countries.
