Mongolian bank selects M2SYS finger vein solution for customer authentication
In a recently published customer case study, M2SYS Technology recounted working with local partner Infinite Solutions to provide Arig Bank of Mongolia with finger vein technology to streamline its customer authentication process at their branches.
Currently, Arig Bank is using M2SYS’ finger vein technology to authenticate more than 400,000 customers.
Arig Bank was looking for a solution that could reduce security breaches and transaction fraud issues, automatically confirm and identify their customers, provide safer verification systems, and reduce fraud risks from customers.
After initially piloting M2SYS’ Bio-Plugin and FuseID HYBRID fingerprint reader, which it integrated with their existing core banking software in two branches and 20 terminals, Arig Bank selected the solutions.
Bio-Plugin is a biometric middleware solution that allows developers to rapidly integrate a multi-modal biometrics system without all the development work required from a low level biometric SDK.
The solution offers a range of features including support for fingerprint, finger vein, palm vein, iris, facial and voice recognition; support for any SQL compliant database, including MS SQL Server, Access, MySQL, Oracle 9i, DB2, Informix; scalable, high-performance matching server for large implementations; and compatible with Windows and Web applications.
M2-FuseID is “smart” fingerprint reader that simultaneously and safely captures the unique finger vein pattern inside an individual’s finger to deliver higher levels of security, reliability, and accuracy than other fingerprint scanners.
The solution’s features include the ability to offer, high-level encrypted data transfer across USB, LED display visual feedback, intuitive interface, and an expansive operating range (0° – +40°C, wet or dry).
Bio-Plugin and FuseID helped Arig Bank increase security for its customer authentication process and ultimately lead to fewer incidents of identity theft.
