Morpho launches touchless biometric access solution at ISC West

Morpho (Safran) announced at ISC West it has launched MorphoWave, which it calls the market’s first biometric access solution that features high-speed touchless fingerprint matching.

MorphoWave is able to accurately capture and match four fingerprints with a single wave of the hand, for an efficient and comfortable user experience.

The touchless sensor ensures that the surface remains clean through repeated scans. Additionally, the sensor can easily read both wet and dry fingerprints, which is a significant factor in its ability to provide a fast and highly accurate capture and matching rate.

Developed to meet the rising demand for frictionless access control at high-traffic, sensitive, and secure locations, MorphoWave’s key interfaces allow direct and easy integration into existing access control and time and attendance systems.

The biometric access solution can also be used as a stand-alone device for quick deployment at temporary events and facilities.

The device’s color touchscreen can be programmed for time and attendance features, text and video messaging, customized graphics, and administrative functions.

“MorphoWave is ideally suited for secure access control in all high traffic environments,” said Celeste Thomasson, president and CEO of MorphoTrak. “Morpho’s fingerprint identification algorithms, deemed most accurate in a recent NIST evaluation, combined with our touchless technology, make the world safer — and a little easier to navigate.”

Previously reported, Infinisource partnered with Morpho to develop what they call the market’s “most advanced” biometric time clock.
