HYPR Corp submits biometric OTP authenticator for FIPS validation

HYPR Corp. announced that it has submitted its biometric one-time password (OTP) authenticator, HYPR Token, for testing and approval of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 3 validation for tamper proofing.

In submitting HYPR Token for validation from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), HYPR Corp. aims to provide government ready authentication and assure customers that the product is fully secured.

As a U.S. government security standard used to accredit cryptographic modules, FIPS validation is considered one of the most trusted security validations available.

The HYPR authentication suite, which includes the 3-factor biometric authentication of HYPR Token, provides end-to-end biometric security.

By using biometric sensors and trusted execution zones in mobile devices, the HYPR Software Development Kit allows agencies to deploy device-agnostic biometric authentication with a high level of security and convenience.

Previously reported, HYPR Corp. released its Biometric Security Integration Kit, an end-to-end biometric security suite designed for developers and manufacturers across the field of Internet of Things (IoT).
