Olcsan to resell and distribute EyeVerify eye recognition products in Turkey and Europe
Olcsan CAD and EyeVerify announced athey have signed a multi-year licensing and marketing agreement., making Olcsan the exclusive reseller and distributor for EyeVerify’s Eyeprint ID in Turkey and also non-exclusively throughout other European regions Olcsan serves.
Using its extensive experience in biometrics and related technology projects, Olcsan will market and deliver eyeprint authentication across a wide range of applications and market sectors.
“We’re pleased to partner with Olcsan on both the technical and business aspects of delivering biometric solutions to Olcsan’s customers,” said EyeVerify CEO Toby Rush. “Their expertise in implementation across numerous vertical markets will be invaluable in generating marketing adoption for Eyeprint ID.”
The two companies finalized their agreement earlier this year and have been working together on product and solution development for the past few months.
The companies also unveil their first joint customer project with Vodafone Turkey, in which they have integrated Eyeprint ID into the company’s mobile wallet application Vodafone Cep Cüzdan.
After an initial, one-time enrollment, Vodafone customers will be able to login to the application by taking a photo of their eyes.
Eyeprint ID can use any existing 1+ MP smart device camera to image and pattern match the unique blood vessels in the whites of an individual’s eye.
The eyeprint can not be lost, stolen or intercepted because the data is scrambled and encrypted locally, and as a result, it never leaves the individual’s device.
“Working with EyeVerify on their patented Eyeprint ID technology was a breeze,” said Olcsan CEO Burak Sondal. “Together with EyeVerify we plan to expand our biometric offerings into the mobile space and continue to offer innovative solutions for our clients.”
Previously reported, smartphone manufacturer Alcatel introduced a new smartphone integrated with EyeVerify’s eye recognition technology that enables users to unlock the device.
