Precise Biometrics to discuss fingerprint authentication at summit in China

Precise Biometrics announced that company COO Patrik Lindeberg will be speaking at the Global Smart Touch Industry Summit in Shenzhen, China on June 25, in which he will share key advice on how to achieve fingerprint authentication success.

The introduction of small fingerprint sensors in mobile devices has significantly increased the fingerprint algorithm’s role in ensuring a convenient and secure user experience.

As a result, performance evaluation of fingerprint algorithms is increasing in importance and complexity.

Lindeberg’s presentation is entitled “How to evaluate a fingerprint algorithm – and achieve top performance,” and will be available for download on June 26th.

Precise Biometrics has also published a white paper entitled “Understanding Biometric Performance Evaluation”, which addresses this very subject.

“We are very happy to have been given the opportunity to address participants at the event with this information,” said Lindeberg. “By doing so, we help Purchasers, Product Managers, R&D representatives and others, to better understand fingerprint authentication, so that they can make better decisions when choosing an algorithm for their device.”

Organized by Zhongrui Exhibition Co.,Ltd in association with China Communications Industry Association and The Nikkei BP Agency, the 8th Shenzhen International Touch Screen Technology & Equipment Exhibition (Touch China 2015) will be held on June 25-27 in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center.

Previously reported, Precise Biometrics‘ fingerprint recognition product for mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been integrated in a new smartphone from China, through a partnership with Sweden’s Fingerprint Cards (FPC).
