MorphoTrak opens technology facility in West Virginia

MorphoTrak announced it has opened its first West Virginia facility in Morgantown.

The company plans to establish a Program Management and Engineering office at the new facility, for which it will recruit a team of local, experienced and well-qualified professionals to manage and support high-technology engineering projects.

“We see many benefits from establishing our first Morpho facility in Morgantown,” said Steve Vinsik, vice president of MorphoTrak’s criminal justice and public security business unit. “This strategic location reflects our commitment to deliver responsive and high-quality services to the FBI, our key federal end-user.”

MorphoTrak is currently develops and provides security solutions for more than 1,000 federal, state and local government agencies and commercial enterprises, including the West Virginia State Police Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS).

The new facility will allow MorphoTrak to expand its work with West Virginia University’s biometrics and forensics programs.

“Our new research partnership with West Virginia University will allow us to drive innovation and provide technology advancements that will benefit the entire biometric industry, and continue Morpho’s position as the world leader in identification services,” said Vinsik.

Previously reported, MorphoTrak will launch its video analytics solution, Morpho Video Investigator (MVI), at the 2015 Global Identity Summit (GIS).
