Through this latest partnership, Precise Biometrics’ fingerprint recognition product for mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, and FPC’s touch fingerprint sensor FPC1025, have been integrated in the new Chinese smartphone

ZTE is a leading smartphone manufacturer and we are proud that ZTE selected FPC1025 for Axon Mini, following up on the success of Axon, also embedding FPC1025,” said FPC CEO Jörgen Lantto. “FPC1025 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality.”

Precise BioMatch Mobile offers seamless integration of fingerprint matching functionality for smartphones and tablets, and is optimized for small touch sensors in mobile environments via a unique patented hybrid algorithm.

Sales from the FPC1025 for this smartphone model are included in FPC’s previously reported revenue guidance of approximately 2,500 MSEK (USD $295 million) for 2015.

Meanwhile, the integration will generate license revenue for Precise Biometrics starting from the third quarter 2015, with the value based on the number of sensors FPC delivers to the mobile phone manufacturer.

”We are pleased that the vendor has chosen to integrate Precise BioMatch Mobile in an additional smartphone model,” said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “High performance fingerprint software is crucial to ensure a good user experience and secure identity verification.”
