Hoyos Labs demonstrate four-finger smartphone solution at Biometrics 2015
Hoyos Labs announced it will exhibit its new biometric four-finger (4F) smartphone technology and discuss the new biometric standard for secure transactions (BOPS) at Biometrics 2015.
The annual conference will be held October 14-15 at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London.
Hoyos Labs’ biometric 4F captures four fingerprints on a smartphone simultaneously, providing a high level of security and “touchless four-finger acquisition with 150 degrees of freedom,” according to Hoyos Labs.
The solution is designed to address the difficulty of capturing biometrics, such as facial recognition, which can fail with low lighting conditions.
4F is able to work in any environment by using the smartphone’s flash as its light source with no external hardware required.
At Biometrics 2015, Hoyos Labs will highlight how enterprises from financial services to healthcare are implementing its line of biometric solutions.

Previously reported, Hoyos Labs announced that the Standards Association of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has approved standard 2410-2015 or BOPS (Biometrics Open Protocol Standard) as the global standard for identity and authentication on the Internet and mobile devices.
