SecureAuth partners with BehavioSec to offer behavioral biometrics capability
SecureAuth Corporation announced it will add BehavioSec-developed behavioral biometrics capability that performs keystroke analysis, mouse movement analysis, and touch based analysis on mobile devices to its SecureAuth IdP solution.
As a result, SecureAuth customers will be able to add a continuous verification capability to their own web and mobile applications.
An individual’s unique behavioural biometric pattern is affected by social and psychological factors, which makes it nearly impossible to duplicate or emulate another person’s behavior in front of the computer.
The new capability will enable organizations to integrate behavioural biometric technology into their authentication platforms to strengthen their security measures against attackers.
“This is a truly sophisticated technology, in that the end user’s experience is only impacted if their keyboard, mouse, or touch interactions raise a red flag,” said Keith Graham, CTO of SecureAuth. “Combining BehavioSec’s patented approach with SecureAuth’s Adaptive Authentication will further help businesses stay ahead of advanced threats. The marriage of SecureAuth and BehavioSec’s technology provides an unrivalled approach to helping organisations not only better protect themselves, but also provides the means to help them detect human attackers who may have breached their network.”
This month, security leaders from SecureAuth, BehavioSec and IDC will provide exclusive technology previews of the new capability through its “Next Generation Adaptive Authentication using Behavioural Analysis” promotional tour.
The six U.S. city tour kicked off in Boston on November 3rd and will wrap up in Chicago on November 13th.
The previews will include live demonstrations of the solution, as well as discussions about the current state of the industry and how advanced adaptive authentication techniques like behavioural biometrics can help protect an organization’s network, applications and brand.
The new feature will be officially included in SecureAuth IdP 9.0, which is targeted for release in early 2016.
Previously reported, BehavioSec, which offers user authentication technology that identifies people by measuring users’ typing and swiping behavior on their laptops and mobile phones, has set its sights on the U.S. market.
