ZKAccess adds power over ethernet to door controller kits

Biometrics solutions firm ZKAccess now offers power over ethernet (PoE) solutions in its 1 and 2-door controller kits capable of supplying power to all ZKAccess access control components, including panels, multiple readers and 3rd party door locks.

These kits with built-in PoE can help cut labor costs involved in setting up an access control solution because installers can now simply connect ZKAccess door controllers to the nearest POE switch. And because ZKAccess panels and readers all connect using standard CAT5e/6 lightweight network cable, expensive licensed electricians are no longer needed to complete the installation.

“ZKAccess continues to drive down its production cost, but that’s only half the battle in helping maintain our partners’ profitability,” said Larry Reed, CEO of ZKAccess, about the new PoE solutions. “Our partners also need products that are quick and easy to install. ZKAccess complete 1 and 2-door access control kits with built-in POE provide the quickest, easiest, and most affordable way to bring electronic security to the door.”

ZKAccess manufactures all its products in-house in its 500,000 square foot ISO9001- certified factory.
