Biometrics and RFID security solutions provider ZKAccess recently conducted its Advanced Biometric Access Control class at PSA-TEC.

The CEU course is accredited by the ESA, BICSI, State of NJ and the State of Florida. The class walks students through the evolution of access control, providing a clear understanding of why each new technology succeeded its predecessor. Topics covered include why PIN code locks succeeded metal key ‘n lock systems, why barcode and mag stripe readers succeeded PIN code readers, what prompted the introduction of today’s common RFID systems, and, now, why biometric security is becoming more relevant and within customers’ budgets and technical expertise.

TEC is presented by the PSA Security Network and is an education and networking event that is open to everyone in the physical security industry. TEC hosts representatives from physical security integrators, manufacturers, and other industry associations every year. TEC 2016 featured three core days of education and certification programs, networking, and dedicated exhibit hours designed to advance the skills and expertise of security industry professionals.

The ZKAccess course was one of 50 courses offered by PSA and ZKAccess was one of over 100 security vendors who participated at TEC.

“We are both pleased and honored to be invited by PSA to participate in TEC each year,” says Larry Reed, CEO, ZKAccess. “Participating at TEC not only allows us to introduce essential access control information to attending students, but also provides us an opportunity to network with some of the brightest talented leaders in the security industry from whom we learn where to focus our R&D to best serve our customers.”

Earlier this month, ZKAccess announced the availability of its Wireless Bridge kit for ZKAccess RFID and biometric door controllers.
