Suprema globally launches BioMini Plus 2 fingerprint authentication device

 

Suprema announced it has global launched BioMini Plus 2, a fingerprint authentication scanner designed for both PC and mobile based fingerprint authentication which offers excellent image quality, durability, and security features.

The BioMini Plus 2 tested in full compliance and received certification from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for the agency’s PIV-IQS/Mobile ID standards and also received the Indian government’s STQC certification.

Suprema’s patented Multi Dynamic Range (MDR) technology guarantees high-quality image capture even under extreme lighting condition and wet fingers.

The device offers an added level of security due to Suprema’s latest live fingerprint detection (LFD) technology, which is based on distinctive features of scanned images of fake fingers to those of live fingers. The new LFD technology prevents any unauthorized attempts with fake fingerprints.

The device features high-precision, durable optical sensor, generating high-quality 500dpi images. BioMini Plus 2 includes a software SDK platform that is ideal for developers to create their custom applications.

“BioMini Plus 2 has been specially developed to meet stringent requirements for government-level authentication projects which demand fast and high quality image capturing,” said Dr. Bogun Park, vice president at Suprema. “In addition, with its compatibility to Android systems and mobile-oriented MDR technology, we are keen to gain this fast-emerging mobile based applications.”

The new BioMini Plus 2 is the latest Suprema BioMini fingerprint device selected for several worldwide civil and criminal ID projects in the United States, India, Brazil, EU and African countries.

Previously reported, Suprema showcased its newest, most advanced iteration of the company’s biometric access control solution at IFSEC 2016 in London, UK.
