KnuVerse unveils enterprise voice recognition and authentication portfolio
KnuVerse announced the launch of its cloud-based enterprise product portfolio under the name Knufactor Tuesday. Knufactor brings military-grade noise-tolerant voice recognition and authentication to businesses in the form of phrase verification application AudioPass and multi-factor application AudioPIN, and will also release an API.
The software is designed for fast and secure deployment within existing enterprise infrastructures, the company says. By releasing the API kit for the portfolio, Knuverse intends to extend its capabilities to a wide range of digital platforms.
The products are meant to be integrated into a broad range of applications to provide an in-band second factor for mobile authentication from real-world environments. AudioPass randomly prompts the user to say three or four words, while AudioPIN applies the same concept to a PIN pad, which dynamically displays the word prompt. Either can be used to unlock applications, confirm transactions, or use privileged access.
“Voice technologies are an effective, secure option for enterprises looking for new methods of authentication, but they have to be able to work in real-world environments that include ambient noise, crowded spaces and multiple speakers,” said Kate Dilligan, executive vice president and general manager of KnuVerse. “We’ve built a platform that works if the user is standing in a noisy restaurant, driving in an open car – or even hang gliding. This new level of accuracy allows our customers to focus on improving their own customer experience.”
KnuVerse is offering free evaluation accounts, with which developers can enroll up to 10 people and use for up to 60 days while building with the API.
Knufactor will be available from November 7, and starts at dollars per user per year.
Dilligan told Biometric Update when she was tapped to head the launch of the Knufactor product portfolio in September that the company will apply the advanced algorithms that differentiate its real-world performance within the industry to increasingly complex noise conditions.
