EAB announces 2018 Banking Seminar series open for entries
The European Association for Biometrics (EAB) has announced it will hold its popular series of banking seminars for 2018 in four European financial capitals to foster information sharing and debate on the intersection of biometrics and fintech.
The 2018 EAB Banking Seminars will be chaired by former GenKey CEO Michiel van der Veen, with the tagline “Do you REALLY know your customers?” Events will be held in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Madrid between September and December. Discussions will focus on the latest trends helping to improve customer ID security, including blockchain, AI, and smartphone biometrics, according to the announcement. Best practice models will be shared, and the impact of new legislation like GDPR will be assessed.
Entries are now open for biometric and ID companies to attend, share insights, or demonstrate products -to a financial sector audience. Van der Veen told Biometric Update that he expects to have about 150 to 200 participants in each workshop.
The EAB and the broader industry community is in mourning following the passing of co-founder and secretary Max Snijder in April.
