Keesing reports FI interest in new customer onboarding technology

Identity verification provider Keesing Technologies reports that its Keesing AuthentiScan solution has been selected by several international financial institutions over the past months to streamline the customer onboarding processes. Keesing also announced it is also integrating liveness detection to further enhance the process.

The AuthentiScan ID verification service now includes identity proofing technology via biometric facial recognition. Keesing refined its solution to accommodate customer and market demand for a solution that supports remote identification for customer onboarding. The company notes the technology was designed for financial institutions.

“This is an exciting innovation within our product suite,” said Daniel Suess, Commercial Director at Keesing Technologies. “Identifying and verifying new customers with biometrics makes onboarding processes safe and efficient.”

The company’s secure digital process allows customers to onboard on-the-go without having to visit a branch in person, with documents proving their identity. Mandatory AML compliance requirements are met using the AuthentiScan digital verification process.

Keesing reports it has welcomed many new customers from the financial services sector who will be using the new technology to onboard customers and prevent identity fraud. “Keesing serves a growing portfolio of financial services institutions around the world,” added Suess. “We look forward to supporting them in their important mission to prevent ID fraud. At Keesing we believe that security and compliance can go hand-in-hand with innovation and growth. We are currently working on the roll out of AuthentiScan for customer onboarding and self-identification at several FIs in Europe and I am really looking forward to see how this changes the way people onboard for a service or open a bank account.”

Keesing will be rolling out liveness detection to its service later this year. The beta version of AuthentiScan’s onboarding technology including liveness detection is available for testing. Keesing’s liveness detection technology is expected to be live at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
