VisionLabs face biometrics and body temperature scanning deployed by McDonald’s Russia

McDonald’s Russia has installed facial recognition and body temperature scanning technology from VisionLabs to scan customers to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to  TAdvisor.

The VisionLabs Termo solution combines hardware for image capturing and temperature scanning, and biometric software. The non-contact system can scan 40 people at once, with accuracy within 0.2 degrees Celsius. The system will also allow the movements of people with elevated temperatures to be tracked, so people having contact with a person who may be infected can be informed.

Body temperature information is shown on a display connected to the camera, though McDonald’s says no personal data is collected or stored.

VisionLabs client SWiP has been making headway in the Russian market this year, with deals to provide face biometrics for payments at a burger chain and a private health centers.

Barcom, AllGoVision, and LamasaTech each launch body temperature scans for face recognition kiosks

Barcom has launched a stand-alone terminal with facial recognition and body temperature scanning capabilities to allow businesses to meet reopening guidelines without staff-managed temperature checks.

The new Scan-Post can provide time and attendance tracking with face biometrics, mask detection, along with temperature scanning and contact tracing. Mask alerts or reminders can be issued if necessary, and color-coded labels can be printed to indicate the user’s approved entry to the premises.

Temperature detection is completed within 0.2 seconds with accuracy within 0.3 degrees Celsius. Additional features include email notifications, ingress management, badge scanning, and database and cloud service options.

AllGoVision has launched the AllSafe video analytics suite to provide facial recognition and computer vision for mask detection, social distancing monitoring, contactless time and attendance management, body temperature scanning, contact tracing and people counting, according to a company announcement.

AllSafe is intended to be integrated with security and thermal cameras to enhance the safety of people in office buildings, public areas, factories, and other settings. The solution is now available in markets around the world.

LamasaTech has launched public APIs for its Zentron range of temperature scanning kiosks with biometric facial recognition.

The beta release allows businesses to integrate temperature scanning stations into their existing visitor management processes, and can link data collected to a company database, or an application such as an HR system.

Both cloud and on-premise applications can be integrated with temperature checking devices through the APIs. Customers create an API with 5 endpoints to send and receive information from Zentron kiosks.

The company intends to add more functions to the APIs based on customer and market feedback.
