Innovatrics deploys Daltrey’s biometrics-as-a-service for passwordless access control

Innovatrics deploys Daltrey’s biometrics-as-a-service for passwordless access control

Innovatrics says it has implemented the cloud biometric authentication service from Daltrey that its own biometric and passive liveness detection algorithms were integrated into in May to provide passwordless access control at all its offices across the globe.

The global biometrics solutions provider for governments and businesses said in a statement that the new identity solution will enable Innovatrics staff to use native device biometrics for workplace authentication and eliminate passwords when accessing applications and data.

Daltrey’s biometric credential and passive liveness detection service powered by Innovatrics algorithms has been integrated with access management and single sign-on platform, Okta.

“We are excited to take a lead in implementing Daltrey’s identity defined approach to organisational security, using biometrics with liveness detection to guarantee the right team members are accessing the right applications securely and conveniently, regardless of where they are located,” said Daniel Ferak, head of product management at Innovatrics. “We have developed some of the world’s most accurate biometric algorithms to verify identity and liveness, which are now used in security-sensitive industries such as finance.”

For Blair Crawford, co-founder and managing director of Daltrey, the partnership with Innovatrics is a major step towards its goal of doing away with passwords, access cards and PIN codes for secure logical access control.

“The notion of ‘deperimiterisation’ has never been more pertinent for global organisations,” he says. “Using verified identity establishment, secure biometric authentication and liveness detection, our identity solution defies traditional notions of the corporate perimeter and enables employees to securely access applications from any location and any device.”
