Amadeus IT Group has formalized the acquisition of Idemia Public Security and its subsidiaries with a bid of 1.2 billion euros (roughly US$1.4 billion) plus an earn-out worth up to €150 million ($171 million).
The previously-announced acquisition is subject to the standard regulatory approvals, which are expected to be complete in mid-2027.
The acquisition will be funded with a syndicated bridge loan entered into by Amadeus. The loan is advanced by a group of banks in a single currency, and lasts for a year, with a pair of six-month extension options available to the company.
