Xperix partners with Alyam to pursue Saudi government biometrics

South Korean biometrics provider Xperix has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s Alyam Technical Trading Co. to pursue government contracts in digital identity, border control and biometric enrollment as the Kingdom continues expanding its digital infrastructure.

The partnership targets digital identity verification, biometric enrollment, identification and electronic document authentication for government agencies, with scope to expand into broader public-sector digital transformation projects.

Under the agreement, Alyam will lead local business development while Xperix will supply biometric scanners, document readers and technical expertise, including demos, training and implementation support.

Xperix offers three solutions to capture biometric information and read identity and travel documents: the RealScan-FC forensic fingerprint scanner, RealScan SG10 ten-print enrollment scanner and RealPass-N document reader for passports, visas and electronic identity documents.

The partnership comes as Saudi Arabia continues investing in biometric border infrastructure. Authorities have deployed 152 automated e-gates across airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah, integrating biometrics with visa and border management systems.

Xperix enters an increasingly competitive Saudi biometrics market, where international suppliers are seeking local partnerships to participate in government digital identity and border modernization programs.
