BioRugged tablet features Suprema fingerprint module
Suprema revealed that its SFU-S20 fingerprint modules are integrated into the BioRugged LCC, a 5″ mobile Android device from BioRugged.
SFU-S20 is an FBI PIV and FAP20 certified USB fingerprint scanner featuring a slim optical sensor with a larger platen and anti-spoofing technology.
BioRugged LCC is a rugged biometric tablet for highly mobile environments designed for price sensitive markets. The device features GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth, a 2MP/8MP auto focus front-back camera and a large capacity battery. Suitable for any biometric identity solution including census, voter registration, logistics, healthcare and banking, the affordability and portability of the device allows for effective time management in the field.
Integrated into Suprema’s BioStar 2 time management platform it enables the integration of mobile and static biometric terminals under one platform and can perform biometric authentication and time management for construction sites, agricultural operations, outsourced security and cleaning services or any environment where the workforce does not report at an office.
“BioRugged is our strategic partner, and at Suprema, we are proud of SFU-S20/S21 USB fingerprint module being featured on this new LCC,” commented Bogun Park, Suprema CEO. “We look forward to working together on future innovations and will strive to deliver highest-standard biometrics for BioRugged’s customers.”
In a recent interview with Biometric Update, BioRugged discussed how it recently outfitted West Africa’s telecommunications company MTN with more than 9,000 client enrollment and verification devices for know your customer (KYC) applications.
