BIO-Key & Medflow providing biometric solutions to eye clinics

Recently, BIO-Key International and Medflow Inc. implemented biometric authentication solutions for several eye care facilities, namely: Canton Ophthalmology, East Michigan Eye Center, Charles Retina Institute, Eye Care Center of Texas, Nashua Eye Center, Ophthalmology Consultants of Fort Worth and Southwestern PA Eye.

By pairing BIO-Key’s biometric solution with Medflow’s electronic health records system, these eye care facilities will conform to CMS and HIPAA compliance rules that require a strong password identification system. There are more than 450 practices and over 2,000 eye care physicians who use Medflow in their daily operations.

“As we all know CMS and HIPAA require strong password identification, which has a significant impact on a clinic’s busy workflow. The BIO-key solution eliminates that overhead and makes it simple to identify yourself. Our clients love how easy it is to switch from one user to the other using BIO-key.” JimRiggi, President and CEO of Medflow, Inc.
