BioEnable Technologies releases fingerprint SDK, Android drivers

BioEnable Technologies recently announced the launch of its Android drivers and software development kit for its fingerprint scanners, to enable them on tablets as well on mobile phones.

“Recently there has been huge revolution in Android and phones based on it,” said Pradeep Bhatia, Managing Director at BioEnable Technologies. “We see a huge market in mobile application development and hence the need of applications based on it, including user authentication applications using fingerprints.”

The fingerprint scanners by BioEnable are already a popular choice in the marketplace and are well received due to their ruggedness and resistance to scratches, impact, vibration and electronic shocks.

The firm intends its devices and SDK to act as a replacement for handheld terminals and provide better scalability and flexibility because of the improved hardware and software configuration.

The SDK is will be used for government and banking related projects. The company also plans to make the system compatible with UIDAI Aadhaar authentication.
