Biometrics firm Human Recognition Systems wins innovation award

Human Recognition Systems has been awarded a ‘Best Innovator’ award from the Airport Operators Association in the UK for recognition of the firm’s MFlow Track and MFlow Journey products.

Operational in major airports such as London Gatwick Airport and London City Airport, MFlow Track and MFlow Journey uses innovative, cutting-edge biometric technologies to help enhance airport security, operational efficiency and the overall passenger experience.

MFlow Track incorporates multi-modal biometric “e-gates”, which include “iris-at-a-distance” technology to automate the secure and fast flow of passengers through restricted areas within an airport, while MFlow Journey uses passive facial recognition technology to track and measure people flow throughout an airport in order to provide real-time operational intelligence and queue time information.

Jim Slevin, Aviation Business Unit Manager at Human Recognition Systems commented: “Human Recognition Systems is unashamedly delighted to have been recognized by the AOA for the third year running, not least as this award specifically recognizes the bottom line improving innovations we have delivered to our airport customers.”

Human Recognition Systems was previously awarded the AOA ‘Best Small Business’ accolade in 2011 as well as for having the ‘Best Exhibition Stand’ at the AOA event in 2010.
