NMC healthcare adopts FingerTec biometrics for workforce management

NMC healthcare, an integrated healthcare company headquartered in Abu Dhabi has opted to use a biometric time clock system to keep track of the attendance and overtime of its employees across its many offices throughout the UAE.

The hospitals and company headquarters employ the greatest number of people and the human resources department, located in Abu Dhabi, faces a great challenge monitoring rotating shifts, as well as vacation, overtime and attendance in all of the company’s wide network of hospitals, medical centers and pharmacies.

After a successful 2-week pilot using the TA103TC system from FingerTec, Q-Line ihttp://www.qline-dubai.com/index1.htm nstalled 45 units of the TA103TC system in the first five centers of the NMC within Abu Dhabi, asmag.com reports. The program has been split into 3 stages with a total of up to 200 units to be installed within the entire NMC group in UAE.

The TA103TC biometric time clock is made by FingerTec USA and boasts high speed and accuracy on fingerprint scans, supporting up to 12,000 fingerprint templates.

As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, using biometrics as a means of workforce management is a growing trend. The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) will similarly introduce a biometric time clock to track attendance. Likewise, a law firm in Toronto has also decided to use a fingerprint identification system to track employee attendance.
