Biometrics Conference in Istanbul to take place May 29-30, 2013

Istanbul’s Biometrics Conference is set to take place May 29-30, 2013 in Istanbul and promises to tackle many of the issues facing the biometrics community today, as well as showcase some of the newest innovations and key leaders in the space.

Held at the Istanbul Marriott Asia Hotel, this year’s conference will feature presentations as well as an exhibition on biometrics technologies.

The conference is produced by Proline Integrated Technologies, a technology company with R&D and Integration Competences focused on the Middle Eastern and North African markets. Proline was established in 2003 as a system integrator as well as a self-developer of its own centralized city management software, geographic information systems, social media monitoring, biometric fingerprint scanning, as well as vein and palm print systems. Most significantly, Proline developed the electronic passport for the Turkish Republic.

According to the event organizers, this year’s event will focus on fingerprint and vein technologies, iris recognition, facial recognition, voice recognition and smart cards. Speakers will range from corporate representatives, government and industry experts.

The conference has not yet announced an official schedule or list of speakers, though it is looking for sponsors for this year’s event. More information can be found on the event website.
