EyeVerify appoints Christopher Barnett as EVP Global Sales & Marketing

EyeVerify, a provider of mobile authentication solutions, has announced the appointment of Christopher Barnett as Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing.

Barnett will be responsible for all aspects of customer engagement, including global sales, marketing and communications. Barnett is also charged with driving the company’s foray into key verticals including finance, mobile OEMs, network operators and large enterprises.

Barnett comes to EyeVerify with a specialized skillset in mobile app development, OEM, carrier as well as enterprise sales experience. Barnett has held positions at Vlingo, Rand McNally and Handmark, among others.

“Chris knows our customers from his experience with telcos, OEMs and consumers. He understands their needs and he knows how to build go to market strategies that deliver results,” Toby Rush, CEO said. “Chris is the ideal person to evangelize EyeVerify’s authentication solution and expand our business.”

As reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, EyeVerify recently launched the world’s first “eyeprint” solution for mobile devices, based on the unique vein patterns in the whites of users’ eyes.

“Joining EyeVerify at this stage in the development of the company is a magnificent opportunity. We are addressing very clear and compelling growth trends – mobile security, authentication and BYOD,” Barnett said. “I’m looking forward to EyeVerify ushering in a new era that will allow enterprises and consumers to fully utilize mobile technology with the right level of security.”
