IriTech joins the FIDO Alliance

IriTech has joined the FIDO Alliance, the company announced Wednesday.

“Amid the recent credit card data breaches and Identity theft accidents, IriTech believes it will help solve the inefficiencies that users face with passwords and enhance security for various industries such as e-commerce, mobile banking and IoT.” Daniel Kim, CEO of IriTech said. “Our main assumption for the widespread use of these technologies is ensured safety.”

The FIDO specifications support a range of authentication technologies, platforms and mobile devices. IriTech plans to bring its expertise in iris recognition, server software platforms and developments of iris recognition enabled mobile devices.  The Alliance recently released the first public review draft of its technology specification.

“As a leading iris recognition vendor, we are proud to join the FIDO Alliance. We will leverage our best-of-breed technology that was proven by the US and Indian government and work closely with other FIDO members to help provide online users a safer and more convenient online world,” Director of Marketing, Jungwoon Ryu said.

Reported previously, IriTech recently got STQC certification for its iris authentication devices, the IriShield MK 2120U, IriShield BK2121U and IriHerald1000MK.
