Innovatrics receives top ranking in NIST fingerprint software evaluations

Innovatrics announced that its biometric fingerprint algorithms scored high at the National Institute of Standards and Technology Proprietary Fingerprint Template Evaluation II, the world’s only independent, public, large scale testing of fingerprint technology.

The NIST Proprietary Fingerprint Template Evaluation II measures the performance of fingerprint matching software using vendor proprietary fingerprint templates.

Overall, Innovatrics ranked among the top three in each reported category.

In one test, the company’s fingerprint matching software was found to be the most suitable for real life deployment.

Innovatrics was also ranked among the top participating companies in the Ongoing Minutiae Interoperability Exchange Test, which measures the biometric performance and interoperability of template encoding and matching capabilities to users, vendors and interested parties.

The company’s strong biometric performance proves that its fingerprint technology has a high interoperability.

Innovatrics offers a wide range of products and services, including software development kits and automated fingerprint identification systems designed for integration into applications and solutions.

These biometrics solutions include enrollment and de-duplication checking for deployments in both regional and nation-wide conditions.

The full results of NIST PFT II evaluation and Ongoing MINEX evaluation can be found on the NIST website.
