Touchless Biometric Systems names CEO and several key staff members

Swiss manufacturer and biometric product firm Touchless Biometric Systems AG announced it has named Alex Zarrabi the company’s new chief executive officer.

Zarrabi joins Touchless Biometrics Systems from Alpine DMCC/Switzerland, where he served as CEO.

He has over 15 years of experience in the technology field, working within the regions of Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to Alpine DMCC/Switzerland, Zarrabi served as Middle East general manager at IndigoVision.

“Alex’s track record with TBS in the field and growth to CEO supports existing markets and expansion globally,” said Daniel Kohler, chairman of the TBS board.

In addition to appointing a new CEO, TBS has also named Philippe Niederhauser as head of sales and marketing, Torsten Meister as CTO, Marwan Rouini as business development manager for the Middle East, and Catriona Leitch as media and communications manager.

The company develops biometric hardware and software for access control and time and attendance, which are designed to be integrated into existing systems.

Since entering the market in 2009, TBS reports that it has deployments in over 30 government organizations.
