Digital Insight partners with EyeVerify to provide a password-free mobile banking experience

Online financial management solutions firm Digital Insight announced it has partnered with EyeVerify Inc. to provide its customers with EyePrint ID mobile identity protection.

By using the camera on mobile devices, EyePrint ID patented technology takes a photo of the individual’s eye and pattern-matches the blood vessels in the whites of the eye, eliminating the need for a password.

Digital Insight customers can implement EyePrint ID into their current mobile banking applications, providing their users with instant and secure access to banking data and services.

With EyePrint ID, no additional software or hardware is needed and the solution eliminates the high costs associated with resets, lockouts and password-related customer care calls.

“What was once the exclusive domain of science fiction is today a practical reality as we continue to innovate in ways that take advantage of remarkable technologies to redefine the banking experience for our customers,” said Lindsay Soergel, VP of solutions and strategy at Digital Insight. “EyeVerify is the only company to offer this highly secure approach to identity verification and we are thrilled to be the first in the U.S. to provide financial institutions this level of authentication.”

Digital Insight develops a range of solutions for its bank and credit union customers. T

The company recently created an innovation lab called DI Labs to help financial institution clients test and implement new technologies such as biometrics, geo-fencing and location-based services.

Digital Insight will offer EyePrint ID in limited availability to customers starting this spring.

Previously reported, EyeVerify recently released EyePrint ID v2.0, the second version of the firm’s patented technology that eliminates the need to use passwords on mobile devices.
