Security solutions firm Avigilon Corporation announced that it will showcase what it calls the “security industry’s first single-sensor 7K (30 MP) security camera” at the ISC West 2015 tradeshow in Las Vegas.

The camera delivers high-resolution image detail, simultaneously providing maximum scene coverage while minimizing bandwidth and storage consumption. In addition, Avigilon announced it released the 6K (24 MP) HD Pro camera.

As the latest product in its line of end-to-end surveillance solutions, the 7K HD Pro camera works with the Avigilon Control Center software to provide high image detail, effective processing power and efficient bandwidth and storage management.

The 7K camera offers horizontal resolution exceeding 7,000 pixels and more than 30 million total pixels.

Avigilon’s cameras can be integrated into several leading facial recognition solutions, including Herta Security’s BioSurveillance, IDenticard Access Control’s PremiSys, and NEC’s NeoFace Watch

Reported previously, Avigilon announced that the University of Phoenix stadium has deployed the Avigilon high-definition surveillance solution to monitor its campus and increase public safety.
